Welcome to the library at Belfast Bible College! We provide spacious study facilities over two rooms, the Main Library (used for group and individual study) and the Reading Room (a silent study area). There is seating for 70 library users, including individual study carrels, and access to the Heritage library catalogue is available both onsite and online.
The library has an established and extensive collection of books and journals with a current stock of around 21,000 books, and over 6,000 journal articles in print. The library includes many specialist texts, particularly in the areas of Biblical Studies, Practical Theology, Missiology, Ethics, Theological Education and Disability Theology.
The library also has a growing collection of online resources, with access to over 1500 journals via the ATLA Religion database, AtlaSerials PLUS, EBSCO's Religion and Philosophy Collection and SocIndex. We are also developing an ebook collection to enable remote access to resources.
Multiple copies of core texts are available for students’ use, with further resources for study provided through Moodle, the virtual learning environment.
The library has substantial holdings of missionary biographies with special collections on Amy Carmichael and on the History of Missions.
For more details regarding library use for current students, please go to the Student Resources page HERE.
While library facilities are primarily for the use of staff and students, please do get in touch if you would like more information on the possibility of using these facilities.
