    Students who complete the Certificate in Theology can complete a 2nd and/or 3rd year of study to progress to the Diploma or BA in Theology.

    This one year course in Theology is offered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to live, and help others live the life of faith in the contemporary world. In order to facilitate this, the course includes a range of learning experiences including ministry placements and work based learning.

    Students who complete the Diploma in Theology can complete an additional year of study to progress towards the BA in Theology.

    This two year course in Theology is offered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to live, and help others live the life of faith in the contemporary world. In order to facilitate this, the course includes a range of learning experiences including ministry placements and work based learning.

    Course potential

    The course can be completed in September or February.

    This is a one semester course of study, leading to an internal award from Belfast Bible College. It is suitable for those preparing for overseas service, or who can only study for a short period of time and can be commenced in September or February. 

     

  • BA (Hons) in Theology arrow

    Students who complete the BA in Theology could progress to Postgraduate studies in Theology at a later stage.

    This three year course in Theology is offered in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to live, and help others live the life of faith in the contemporary world. In order to facilitate this, the course includes a range of learning experiences including ministry placements and work based learning.

    This pathway is designed for those who place a high value on original research and it is open to candidates with a Masters in theological subjects (awarded at 60 or above) or a primary degree in theology (awarded at a high 2.1 and above) or equivalent from a recognised university or college.

    This pathway is designed for those who place a high value on original research and it is open to candidates with a Masters in theological subjects (awarded at 60 or above) or a primary degree in theology (awarded at a high 2.1 and above) or equivalent from a recognised university or college. 

  • Master of Theology (MTh) arrow

    This programme is designed for those who place a high value on research and is open to candidates with a primary degree (2.1 and above) in theology. For those with a degree in another subject, the Institute of Theology require the successful completion of a Graduate Diploma in Theology comprising one year of full-time study. For the MTh award, students complete four modules and a Dissertation of 20,000 words. The MTh can be completed in one year on a full-time basis, or two years on a part-time basis.
