Mission Agencies Partnership (MAP) is a group of 25, or so, Mission agencies who work together to promote the challenge of world mission and the opportunities for people to become involved in the mission mandate to the church. We are strongly committed to the task and vision of mission in both its need to communicate God’s love to a needy world and to the holistic necessity of caring for the practical and physical needs of people today.

Christian Vocations exists to challenge Christians to discover and practise their God-given vocation and mobilise them for his service. How do we achieve this? By providing services that will enable each individual to reflect on their personal gifting and calling, encouraging everyone to use their gifts in serving God. By providing resources that motivate people as well as providing information on thousands of opportunities to serve in the UK or around the world. We also have information on various topics, which answer many of the frequently asked questions we have received.

GLO began in Australia in 1965 primarily through the vision for evangelism of Colin Tilsley. His vision was to mobilise Christians to be involved in missionary teams both short and long term. The first short term team was to Madras, India. Longer term teams were established in France and Italy in the 1970s. Colin developed Motor Neurone Disease and passed to be with the Lord in 1981, at the age of 46. Before he died Colin had shared his vision with others and the work of GLO had also been established in New Zealand and Europe.

People International has a two-fold approach. Firstly we research Central Asia and make the needs of the Central Asian people known to Christians in other parts of the world and secondly we send short-term teams and place workers long-term on the field in teams to live and work among the local people.
