While there is obviously a certain formality about the lecture room there is a sense that we are all learning together and the rapport between lecturer and students is marked by laughter as well as serious academic discussion. Whether in lectures, seminars or their studies, all members of staff are very accessible. Most lecturers have either lived or travelled abroad extensively and this sets all teaching in a wider world context. Moreover they are alert to the practical implications for ministry.

There are seven lecture periods scheduled in the course of a day but it is only on a rare occasion that anyone would be timetabled for all seven. Free periods afford the opportunity to visit the library, the common room, the games room or perhaps spend time with the other members of your prayer triplet.
Discussions started in class are often carried on over the lunch table and in the spring and summer verbal exchanges give way to volleyball action on the campus court. There's plenty of room for football as well - informally or as part of the college football team.
An integral part of the college life, usually on a Wednesday afternoon or an evening, is the weekly ministry programme. As part of a small team of perhaps three or four you will be given time to pray and prepare for the ministry of your choice. Teams are often involved in urban evangelism, children's outreach, youth clubs or visiting in nursing homes.
